Environmental Working Group (EWG) is the nationʻs top, most trusted consumer safety organization has been advocating for us all since 1993.

EWG publishes data on tap water contents for all 50 states. But thereʻs a difference between the EWA and the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). EWA prioritizes HUMAN safety.

Hawaii’s tap water contains more contaminants than you may realize: known carcinogens, heavy metals...and in Honolulu this includes 88x the safe limit of toxic Chromium Hex6, the poison that Erin Brockovich exposed in 1996. (95x on the west side!) The ones highlighted in orange below are NOT filtered out even by activated carbon filters.
